Traffic came to a halt on the morning commute on Federal Highway 40 in Falls Township, Muskingum, Ohio, on January 11, 2014 at approximately 9:32 am, following a horrific crash that occurred and resulted in fatal injuries for a 34-year-old man and injuries for a baby. Reports from the OSHP are that the man, Joseph K. Ross of Zanesville, Ohio, was driving a 1999 Lexus 300 midsize car, west on Federal Highway 40, when he allegedly drove the vehicle off the right side of the roadway. It struck two mailboxes, went through a yard and vaulted off a concrete bridge abutment and struck a concrete wall before landing in a creek. Falls Township EMS transported the man’s body and the injured baby to Genesis South, while Bicknell’s towed the car.
