An elderly woman, Louann M. Merql was injured in Hubbard, Trumbull, Ohio, following a crash that occurred on January 20, 2014 at approximately 00:20 am. Reports from the OSHP are that a 2001 Chevy Express truck was being driven by a 65 year old man of Youngstown, Ohio, west on Federal Highway 62 and was exiting a private drive. A 2002 Volkswagen Bug compact car was being driven by the elderly woman, south on Federal Highway 62. The driver of the truck allegedly failed to yield the right of way to the car and was struck by it. Hubbard Township EMS transported the woman to Sharon Regional and the man charged. Sorice towed the truck and White’s towed the car.
