Three Teenagers Injured in Lucas, Ohio, As Car Strikes Bridge Wall

The 18 year old driver of a 2003 Ford Taurus midsize car and two occupants, Kayla N. Herrera 18 and Elsa L. Mahn also 18, sustained injuries in a crash that occurred in Swanton, Lucas, Ohio, on January 5, 2014 at approximately 9:38 am. Reports from the OSHP are that the Ford car was headed east on the Ohio Turnpike, when the driver allegedly lost control and drove the car off the left side of the roadway. It struck a concrete bridge wall, rotated and went off the right side where it struck a bridge wall again then rested. The driver was transported by Richfield Township EMS, while the other two were transported by Spencer Township EMS. All were taken to St. Luke’s Hospital. The driver was charged with operating her vehicle without reasonable control and Abco towed the car.
