2 Men Injured 1 Killed in Williams, OH, as Car Runs Stop Sign

A 42 year old man, Timothy D. Hartsock was killed, while a 61 year old man was injured in an accident that occurred on December 24, 2013 at approximately 12:45 pm. According to reports from the Highway Patrol, a 33 year old man of Edon, Ohio, was driving a 2001 Mercury Coupe compact car, west on County Road F 50, while the elderly man was driving a 2002 Pontiac Sunfire midsize car, north on County Road 4. The driver of the Mercury allegedly failed to stop for a stop sign and struck the Pontiac. Both vehicles went off the north side of the roadway and into an open field. The occupant of the Pontiac, Hartsock, was ejected and the vehicle rested on top of him, after it had spun off the roadway and struck a utility pole. His body was transported by Medic 4 to Krill’s Funeral Home, while the elderly man was transported by Lutheran Air to Parkview and charged. The driver of the Mercury was also charged. John’s and Coy’s towed the vehicles.
