Van Strikes Embankment, Injures Elderly Man in Preble, Ohio

An elderly man, of Palestine, Ohio, sustained injuries and was charged with operating his vehicle without reasonable control, following a crash that occurred in Monroe, Preble, Ohio, on December 18, 2013 at approximately 12:05 am. Reports from the OSHP are that the man was driving a 1990 Dodge van, north on State Route 127, when he allegedly drove the vehicle off the right side of the roadway. It grazed an evergreen tree, ran over a private driveway, turned sideways in the air, landed, rolled once and struck a tree before it rested. Monroe Township transported the man to Wayne County Hospital. Brower towed the van.
