18 Y-O Woman Rushed to Hospital in Shelby, Ohio, Accident

An 18-year-old woman, Alyssa Nicole Skikus of Minster, Ohio, was rushed by a private vehicle to Joint Township Hospital, following an accident that occurred in McLean, Shelby, Ohio on December 19, 2013 at approximately 8:11 am. Reports from the Shelby County Sheriff’s Office are that the woman was driving a 2000 Ford Taurus compact car, east on Wells Road in the 5,000 Block. The car allegedly struck a snow drift in the travel side of the roadway. It crossed the centerline and went off the north side of the roadway, where it struck a ditch.

Accidents in which vehicles struck ditches amounted to 2,164, which caused injuries in 2011.
