2 Men, 1 Child Injured in Montgomery Rear End Crash

A rear end crash that caused injuries to three people occurred in Brookville, Montgomery, Ohio, on October 2, 2013 at approximately 4:27 pm. Brookville Police Department reported that a 1998 Pontiac Grand Am midsize car was being driven by a 33 year old man and was stopped at a stop sign at the intersection of Westbrook Road and Terrace Park Boulevard, headed east to west. A 49 year old man, Gary A. Lauver of Brookville, Ohio, was driving east to west in the same lane. The driver of the Honda allegedly failed to maintain an assured clear distance ahead and struck the Pontiac in the rear before it was pushed through the intersection. Lauver was treated at the scene, the 33 year old man was taken by Brookville Medic 76 to Miami Valley. Two other occupants, Rachel D. Lauver, 42 was not injured, while a 10 year old boy, Matthew J. Lauver was transported by Brookville Medic to Children’s Medical. The driver of the Pontiac was charged.
