A 3-vehicle rear end crash caused injuries for three people in Ridgeville, Henry, Ohio, on October 2, 2013 at approximately 10:14 pm. Police reports are that a 41 year old woman of Napoleon, Ohio, was driving a 1999 Caddy Escalade SUV north on State Route 66. Two vehicles, a 2003 Pontiac Azteca that was being driven by a 30 year old man, Nicholas Daniel Detter and a 2005 Jeep Grand Cherokee that was being driven by a 57 year old man, Jerry L. Lang, were stopped at the traffic light, facing north on the same road. The driver of the Caddy allegedly struck the Pontiac from behind and caused it to strike the Jeep. Detter was injured and treated at the scene, while two occupants of his vehicle, Kristina F. Detter 29, and Mellissa Ann Garcia 31, were transported by Ridgeville Township EMS to Defiance Regional for their injuries. The driver of the Caddy was charged and J & R Towing towed the Pontiac.
