An elderly man was treated at the scene of a crash that involved a 2001 Freight tractor/semi in Goshen, Tuscarawas, Ohio on June 5, 2013, at approximately 1:00 pm. Police reports are that the man, 83-year-old Robert L. Ritchie of Carrolton, Ohio was driving a 2008 Chevy Trailblazer SUV, as well as a 2001 Freight truck that was being driven by a 49-year-old man from Punxsutawney, PA. Both vehicles were headed west on State Route 39 in a construction zone. The driver of the Chevy SUV began to slow for stopped traffic and was allegedly struck in the rear by the truck. The truck driver was charged. An occupant of the SUV, 51-year-old Virginia NMI of Conrad, Ohio was not injured.
