Teenagers Injured as Pickup Overturns in Pike, Ohio

The Ohio State Highway Patrol has reported that an injury crash that occurred on Dutch Run Road in Union, Pike, Ohio, on May 15, 2013 at approximately 5:22 pm was caused by an improper lane change. The reports further stated that a 17-year-old youth was driving a 2002 Chevy S10 pickup north on Dutch Run Road, when it allegedly went off the right side of the roadway. The vehicle overcorrected, overturned and went off the left side of the road. They youth and two occupants, Maria M. Cooper 19 of Bainbridge, Ohio and Cody A. Shusher 17, of Beaver, Ohio were transported by Pike City EMS to Pike County Hospital. The driver was charged with operating his vehicle without reasonable control. The pickup was towed privately.
