Car Strikes Power Pole and Injures 28 Y-O Man in Putnam, Ohio

An accident occurred and resulted in injuries for a 28-year-old man in Ottawa, Putnam, Ohio, on June 9, 2013 at approximately 4:01 am. Reports from the ODPS are that a 1992 Mercury Grand Am full size car was being driven by the man, south on State Route 65. The reports further alleged that the driver was fleeing at high speed from an Ottawa Police Officer who was attempting a traffic stop. The man allegedly failed to maintain control of the vehicle through the curve. It went off the right side of the roadway, struck a power pole then struck a guardrail. Ottawa Fire EMS transported the man to St. Rita’s, after which he was charged with operating his vehicle without reasonable control. Keebler’s towed the car.
