Head On Crash in Monroe, Ohio, Injures Two Men

Two men sustained injuries in an accident that occurred in Switzerland, Monroe, Ohio, on May 7, 2013, at approximately 1:25 am. The two, a 45-year-old man from Garrettsville, Ohio was transported by Powhatan EMS to OVMC and a 47-year-old man, Tennis Huft of Pennsboro, WV, was transported by Clarington EMS to Wheeling Medical Park. Reports from the ODPS are that the 45-year-old man was driving a 2011 Ford F150 pickup north on State Route 7 at Milepost 24, while Huft was driving a 2013 tractor-semi south on the same road. The man allegedly drove left of the center of the road and struck the tractor head-on. The freight truck traveled off the right side of the roadway and struck a ditch and railroad tracks, while the pickup rotated and rested in the roadway. A&S towed the pickup and Stone Breakers towed the tractor.
