An accident occurred in Butler, Mercer, Ohio, on January 7, 2014 at approximately 9:20 am and resulted in injuries for a 72-year-old man, David J. Beck of Celina, Ohio, who was treated at the scene. According to police reports, Beck was driving a 2006 Chrysler SUV north on Federal Highway 127, south of State Route 703. A 28 year old man was driving a 2003 Ford Focus compact car, south on Federal Highway 127, north of State Route 703. The driver allegedly failed to maintain reasonable control and the vehicle slid and spun. It went across the centerline and struck the SUV head on, went off the east side of the roadway and struck a guardrail. The driver of the Ford was charged. Nor Heirholzer 419-8 towed the SUV and Souhome Serv 678-34 towed the Ford.
