An elderly couple and a young woman were injured in Kinsman, Trumbull, Ohio, following a crash that occurred on December 16, 2013 at approximately 12:02 pm. Reports from the OSHP are that a 2014 Ford Eclipse SUV was headed south on State Route 5. A 2002 Buick RDV SUV was being driven by a 25 year old woman and she was attempting to turn left into a private drive on the west side of the roadway from State Route 5 headed north. The driver of the Buick allegedly failed to yield the right of way and pulled into the path of the Ford, which struck it on the right side, after which it went off the left side of the roadway. The driver of the Buick was injured, treated at the scene and charged, while the driver of the Ford, 83 year old Robert L. Pykore and an occupant of his vehicle 78 year old Barbara J. Pykore were transported by Johnston Fire EMS to Trumbull Memorial. Burrell’s towed both vehicles.
