Personal injury settlements involving minor children pose different challenged than those involving adults. Often children have difficulty articulating exactly what their injuries are. This can make treatment and diagnosis difficult. Also, children often are uncooperative when it comes to following through on treatment plans. This can lead to gaps in their treatment record. Finally, some cases involving minor children must be approved through the probate court of the county which the child resides. Hiring an attorney with experience in these matters can save significant time and headache at the time of settlement.
