Woman/Girl Injured in Muskingum, OH, Pickup Crashes into Ditch

Traffic came to a halt on the late morning commute on State Route 376 in Blue Rock, Muskingum, Ohio, on February 16, 2014 at approximately 10:32 am, following a crash that occurred and resulted in injuries for a 35 year old woman and a 14 year old girl. Police reported that a 2003 Dodge pickup was being driven by the woman, west on State Route 376, when she allegedly lost control on a patch of ice in the roadway. The pickup slid off the right side of the roadway and she over corrected to the left. It crossed the center line and went off the left side where it struck a mailbox post and a drainage ditch before resting. Both the woman and the girl, Karley K. Britton were transported by Genesis Community Ambulance to Good Samaritan. The driver was charged with operating her vehicle without reasonable control. Lowry’s towed the pickup.
