A truck crash occurred in Townsend, Sandusky, Ohio, on January 16, 2014 at approximately 7:30 pm and resulted in injuries for two people. According to police reports, a 42 year old woman was driving a 2007 Ford 3HD van, towing a trailer west on Interstate 80 in the left lane. A 61 year old man, Michael V. Walth of Marion, SD, was driving a 2007 KW CCD truck, west on the same road in the right lane. The driver of the van allegedly lost control; the vehicle traveled into the right lane and was struck by the truck. The trailer of the van separated and traveled off the right side of the roadway, struck a ditch and overturned. The truck went off the right side of the roadway and overturned. Both drivers were treated at the scene by Townsend Township EMS and the woman charged with operating her vehicle without reasonable control.
