SUV Strikes Ditch, Drain, School Bus in Vinton, OH, Driver Injured

A 1997 International Bus that was transporting school children was struck by a 1998 Dodge Durango SUV in Harrison, Vinton, Ohio, on January 30, 2014 at approximately 3:04 pm. Police reports are that a 41 year old woman was driving the SUV, east on County Route 13 and allegedly drove off the left side of the roadway. The SUV struck a ditch, a tree and the school bus before it overturned. 12 children who were occupants of the bus were not injured. The driver of the Dodge was transported by Vinton EMS to Grant Medical and charged with operating her vehicle without reasonable control. McDonald’s towed the SUV.
