A 17 year old youth was injured when a 2002 Saturn SL midsize car was being driven on Federal Highway 127 and allegedly struck a 2004 Bluebird Bus that was headed north on the same road. Reports from the police are that on January 24, 2014 at approximately 9:40 am, the driver of the Saturn, a 17 year old youth of Defiance, Ohio, allegedly drove left of the center of the roadway, struck the bus and went into a field. The injured man, who was the driver of the Saturn, was transported by Scott EMS to Van Wert County Hospital. The bus driver, Vicky L. Etzler 45 and two occupants, Addie L. Etzler 11 and Trevor Speice 11, were not injured. Oxbow towed the car and Gideon’s towed the Bus. The youth was charged.
