1 Killed, 2 Injured in Preble, Ohio, Head On Crash

An elderly woman, Marthanne E. Morton of Princeton, IL, was killed, while two others, a 20 year old man, Deveen Tyler Covington of Lynn, IN., and a 72 year old woman, Maryann Hogan of Perkasie, PA, sustained injuries following a crash that occurred in Washington, Preble, Ohio. Police reports are that on January 15, 2014 at approximately 4:37 am, a 2005 Pontiac Vibe midsize car was being driven by Covington, east on Federal Highway 35, approaching the intersection of Toby Road. The car allegedly went left of the center of the road and struck a 2000 Chevy Impala full-size car that was being driven by Morton, head on. The youth was transported by North West EMS and the body of the woman by Care flight, both to Miami Valley, while the elderly woman, who was an occupant of the Chevy, was transported by Eaton EMS to Reid Memorial.
