A head on crash occurred in Townsend, Sandusky, Ohio, on December 20, 2013 at approximately 12:03 pm and resulted in injuries for three people. According to police reports, an 18 year old youth was driving a 1992 Chevy S10 pickup, east on State Route 101. A 53 year old woman, Treva L. Smith was driving a 2004 Buick Lesabre full size car, west on the same road. The driver of the pickup allegedly left the south side of the roadway and struck a mailbox before it struck the Buick head on. Both vehicles rested off the side of the highway. The youth was transported to Firelands Hospital and charged, while Smith and an 83 year old occupant of the Buick were transported by Sandusky County EMS to Bellevue Hospital. Willey’s towed the pickup and Daley’s towed the car.
