Car Hits Ice and Crashes in Gallia, OH, 2 Injured

Red’s towing was called in to tow a 2010 Chrysler 300 midsize car that was involved in a crash, which caused injuries to two women. One was a 43-year-old woman of Williamson, WV, who was treated at the scene and charged with operating her vehicle without reasonable control and a 23-year-old woman, Emily Russo who was also treated at the scene. Police reported that on December 6, 2013 at approximately 6:16 pm, the older woman was driving the Chrysler, along with a 24-year-old man, Joel A. Russo, who was driving a 1999 Honda Accord midsize car, west on Federal Highway 35. The Chrysler allegedly hit the ice and she lost control of the car, which struck the Honda and went off the left side of the roadway.

There were a total of 373 accidents that resulted in injuries when there was sleet and hail on the roadway, of a total of 1,606.
