A 16 year old girl and an elderly man sustained injuries in an accident that occurred in Copley, Summit, Ohio, on December 17, 2013 at approximately 11:31 am. Police reports are that a 2003 Landrover Freelander SUV was being driven by the girl, west on State Route 18, making a left turn onto South Medina Line Road. A 2012 Ford F250 pickup was being driven by a 77 year old man, Earnest L. Swan and headed east on State Route 18. The driver of the SUV allegedly failed to yield when she was turning left and was struck by the pickup. The SUV rolled onto its side and went off the south side of the roadway, while the pickup went off the south side also and struck a sign. Both drivers were transported by Copley Township EMS. The girl was taken to Children’s hospital and the man to Akron General. Exurb towed the SUV and Heidi’s towed the pickup.
