Washington, OH Rear End Crash Injures Elderly Woman

An elderly woman was injured in a rear end accident that occurred in Belpre, Washington, Ohio, on October 5, 2013 at approximately 1:56 pm. Reports from the Belpre Police Department are that a 76 year old man, Charles J. Alloway of Coolville, Ohio, was driving a 2006 Dodge pickup and slowed, then stopped in traffic on Washington Boulevard in that city. The pickup was rear-ended by a 1994 Pontiac Grand Am midsize car that was being driven by an 18 year old woman of Windsor, South Carolina. An occupant of the pickup, Lana J. Alloway 64, was injured and treated at the scene. Two occupants of the car, Katelin Thomas 14, and Cara Mundy 15, both of Parkersville, WV, were not injured. The driver of the car was charged.

Those accidents in which there were no controls were 13,475 which resulted in injuries.
