A 49 year old man sustained injuries and was transported by Jerome Township EMS to Dublin Methodist after a rear end accident that occurred in Jerome, Union, Ohio, on October 11, 2013 at approximately 9:37 am. Reports from the OSHP are that the 18 year old driver of a 1995 Chevy Blazer SUV and the 62 year old driver of a 2012 Honda Odyssey minivan, were headed north on Federal Highway 42. The driver of the minivan, John H. Harmeyer of Delaware, Ohio, slowed and the youth allegedly failed to maintain an assured clear distance ahead and struck it. The man, Bob Long Jr., who was an occupant of the minivan sustained injuries. There were 4 other men who were occupants of the minivan who were not injured.
