31 Year Old Woman Injured in Pickaway Rear-End Crash

A 31 year old woman of Ashville, Ohio, narrowly escaped serious injuries following a crash that occurred in Harrison, Pickaway, Ohio, on October 8, 2013 at approximately 2:15 pm. Police reports are that the woman, Candice M. Harkness, was driving a 2003 Kia Sorrento SUV, while a 30 year old woman, was driving a 2009 Toyota Matrix compact car, south on Federal Highway 23 in the left lane. Harkness stopped her vehicle at the intersection of State Route 316 west, preparing to turn east onto East North Street. The vehicle was allegedly struck in the rear by the Toyota. Harkness was treated at the scene and the driver of the Toyota was charged. A baby boy, Charles J. Proctor, who was an occupant of the Kia, was not hurt.
