Ohio State Highway Patrol are investigating a three car crash which resulted in injuries for two 16 year old girls in Lebanon, Warren, Ohio, on September 11, 2013 at approximately 1:22 pm. Reports are that one of the girls was driving a 2007 Pontiac G5 midsize car south on Drake Road. Two other 16 year old girls, Jessica Ann Eaton and Rebecca Ann Sweinhart, both of Lebanon, Ohio, were driving two cars, a 2002 VW Jetta compact car and a 2011 Ford Fiesta compact car and were stopped at a red light. The driver of the Pontiac allegedly struck the VW and caused it to strike the Ford. The driver of the Pontiac was charged and treated at the scene along with Eaton. Sweinhart was not injured. Barrett’s towed the Pontiac.
Those accidents, which involved a traffic signal in 2010, were 14,038, which resulted in injuries. In 2011, Lebanon, Warren, Ohio, whose population was 16,962, suffered a total of 88 injury crashes, with 114, which resulted in injuries. Rear end crashes last year were 22,056 of 81,986 in Ohio. Accidents in which drivers failed to maintain an assured clear distance ahead were 18,889 in 2011. In the category of first harmful event of unit in error, there were 98 accidents which involved separation of units and resulted in 10 injuries in 2011.
