64 Y-O Man Injured in Hancock, OH, Head On Crash

Ohio State Highway Patrol was on the scene of a crash that closed Federal Highway 68 in Liberty, Hancock, Ohio and resulted in injuries for a 64 year old man of Carey, Ohio. Reports are that on October 3, 2013 at approximately 4:30 pm the elderly man was driving a 1994 Honda Civic compact car south on Federal Highway 68, while a 19 year old youth was driving a 2002 Ford F250 pickup north on the same road. The driver of the pickup allegedly drove off the left side of the road and struck the median ditch. The vehicle entered the opposite lanes of travel and struck the Honda head on. The youth was charged with operating his vehicle without reasonable control. The elderly man was transported by Hancock County EMS to Blanchard Valley. Lowery’s towed the pickup and Dick’s towed the car. An occupant of the pickup, 23 year old Dakota E. Dunn was not injured.
