Two people, a 59 year old woman and a 37-year-old woman sustained injures in an accident that occurred in Savannah, Ashland, Ohio on August 14, 2013 at approximately 2:39 pm. According to reports from the ODPS, the older woman was driving a 2008 Chrysler Town & Country minivan, while the younger woman was driving a 2005 VW Jetta, south on North Main Street. The driver of the VW stopped at the intersection of North and East Main Streets, waiting to turn east onto East Main Street. The driver of the minivan allegedly struck the VW in the rear, then headed right where it struck a tree, a rock and a fence. Savannah Fire & EMS transported the older woman to Samaritan Hospital, before she was charged. The younger woman was treated at the scene by savannah Fire & EMS. T & L and Abers towed the vehicles.
