A crash that allegedly occurred because of a driver’s failure to maintain an assured clear distance ahead, occurred on East Jackson Street in Millersburg, Holmes, Ohio, on July 8, 2013 and resulted in injuries for a 23 year old woman and an occupant of her vehicle. At approximately 7:10 pm, police reported that 50 year old James W. Milks of Amherst, Ohio, was driving a 1999 Mercury Saab midsize car west on E. Jackson Street and allegedly failed to stop for the driver of a 2004 Chevy Cavalier midsize car that was stopped for the traffic light at Clay Street Intersection. The driver of the Saab struck the Chevy in the rear twice. The driver was treated at the scene and then charged, while the occupant, 50 year old Lisa M. Milk was transported by District 1 to JPH. An occupant of the Saab, Mark A. Samms, was not injured.
