Stop Sign Crash Injures 61 Year Old Man in Licking, Ohio

A 61 year old man of Delaware, Ohio, Robert A. Koon, who was driving a 2004 Yamaha motorcycle, north on County Route 40 in Harrison, Delaware, Ohio, was injured in a crash and transported by West Licking EMS to Grant Medical on May 20, 2013 at approximately 3:15 pm. Reports from the OHSP are that the man was traveling north on County Route 40, while a 2006 Chevy Cobalt midsize car was being driven by a 17 year old girl, west on County Route 138. She allegedly failed to stop at the stop sign and traveled into the motorcycle’s lane of travel. The motorcycle driver tried to use evasive action and lost control. The motorcycle ran off the right side of the roadway. The girl was charged.
