A motor vehicle accident occurred on State Route 774, when the 16-year-old female Satie M. Smith of Hammersale, Ohio, swerved to avoid hitting a deer. The girl who was the driver of the 2004 Chevy allegedly drove off the east edge of the road and struck a ditch, it then continued on striking a culvert and crossing Township Road 280 before finally coming to rest in the ditch. The accident resulted in injuries for the 16-year-old girl who was treated at the scene. The vehicle was privately towed.
